{name:Todd#|#picture:3}As I pulled up on Lance Avenue, I parked my silver LandRover behind a tiny Honda Civic. My music was loud and I couldn't help but smirk as I noticed a couple pass me, who were walking a poodle. They gave me a dirty look, and the lady stuck her nose in the air as the man walked quickly. I glanced over at the digital clock that was on the CD player which was currently playing "I'm Not Your Boyfriend Baby," by 3OH!3, and saw it flash 10:00 pm in a bright green. So I was an hour late, no one would care. I looked in my mirror, popping the collar on my navy blue polo and adjusted my white Famous Stars and Straps hat. I took the key out of the ignition, and hopped out of the car, shutting the large silver door behind me. The car door locked as I hit the button on the remote, and shoved my heavy keys into my pocked. I trotted up the steep steps of a large white San Fransisco mansion, before opening the door to the house.
I heard some random rap song blaring from what seemed to be a five thousand dollar stereo system, kids making out in corners, and others dancing, eating, and drinking. As I made my way through the crowd, I heard my name being shouted. I turned around, and in the middle of the wave was a girl I dispised. I tried to act like I didn't notice the girl calling me, but it was no use, I was trapped. "Toddy! Toddy!?" I heard her yell, and I sighed, turning around. "Oh, Becky!" I said in a surprised voice. "What are you doing here?" I questioned as I shoved my hands into my pockets, looking down at her. "I'm the hostess, duhhhhh," she slurred, and I shuddered. She moved closer to me, red plastic cup in hand, and started dancing around me. "Come on, loosen up Toddy! Let's dance..." She slurred again, wrapping her arms around my neck. I looked around, trying to spot anyone I knew, anyone to save me from this. I was lost though, not seeing anyone in the crowd that I was good friends with. I let Becky dance around me, getting drunker by the second as her butler brought her more beer. "Toddy! Come on...." She whined and I sighed, taking her cup from her, and setting it down on the nearest coffee table. "Becky, you're drunk," I told her, before she tried to start dancing with me again.

{name:Nick #|#picture:1}'Need any help?' I raised an eyebrow at Todd who had a rather drunk Becky dancing clumsily around him. He looked at me with pleading eyes and mouthed 'please'. I sighed and tapped Becky lightly on the shoulder. Todd may have been neglecting me lately and spending all his time with Jess, but he was still my best friend. 'What do you want?' She slurred, looking me up and down. 'Guess who's looking for you, Becky.' I smiled slyly, crossing my arms across my chest. 'Who?' She frowned. 'Josh Michaels.' 'Oh my god!' She squealed, all signs that she was drunk abandoning her. 'He's over by the stereo.' She took off like a bullet and was gone in less than two seconds after I had told her where he 'was'. Josh Michaels was the definition of chick magnet. If anybody could get Becky away from Todd, it was him. 'Thanks.' Todd mumbled, looking down at his feet. 'Where's Jess?' I asked, looking around. It seemed that wherever he went, she went these days. 'I don't know. I just got here.' He mumbled.

{name:Todd#|#picture:3}"So.... where were you last night? I called you, but you didn't pick up...." I trailed as I saw him look at the ground. He was smiling a little, and I smirked. "Come on, spit it out," I told him, and he looked around. I was pretty much yelling, as the music was pumping and there was roars of laughter going around the room. "You know, I was busy." He said, punching my arm. Nick was never 'busy,' he was always doing something of importance. "Just tell me!" I yelled over the music, trying to get an answer out of Nick. "I went on a date!" He finally said, and I froze. That couldn't be right... could it? Nick had been moping for so long that I thought this day would never come. "YOU WHAT?" I yelled, thinking my ears had heard wrong. "I went on a date with Ollie!" He said, as I watched his cheeks turn red. "No way! Dude, that's great!" I said as I looked down at the ground. I was a bit jealous, and I felt my cheeks flush red as he told me about how they went to the cinema and had a good time. "And when I walked her home, I kissed her on the cheek...." He yelled, smiling like a mad man. I froze, my jaw dropping. How could he just go and kiss Ollie? How could he just do that to me?! All of a sudden I realized what I was thinking, and shut my mouth, wondering why I was getting like this. I didn't know what to say, so I smiled and nodded. "Good for you, I'm glad you had a good time." I mumbled, looking at the ground.

{name:Ollie#|#picture:0}For some weird reason, I felt more nervous than I had done when I'd turned up at Brookfield High, and even more nervous than I'd been on the date with Nick. I'd ended up telling Lia, who'd been jealous (I'd been able to tell), and she'd gone and told my parents, who now wanted to meet Nick. I'd tried to tell them he was just a friend, but they weren't having any of it. Anyway, enough about that. I was with a girl named Michelle, who lived across the road from me. We'd started talking because she noticed Odie in the garden, and came to ask us if we wanted a babysitter. I'd answered the door, we'd got talking and she'd told me to come along to some party she was going to. So that night, at 9:30pm, she came over to my house and sat on my bed, chatting to me about Brookfield High and the guys she had her eye on, before we'd got into her car and had left for Becky's house. Whoever Becky was... I was still in a bit of a daze when we got there. Becky's house was roughly the same size as mine, although it looked a little more... well kept than our house. There were so many people there that I had no idea what to look at first, or where to place myself. Michelle linked her arm through mine and pulled me through the crowd of teenagers who were gathered around the front door and together we waded through a great sea of people. Music was blasting so loudly that I could feel it vibrating inside my chest, and almost every kid had a red plastic cup in their hand, or a bottle of something or other. 'Come on!' Michelle called over the noise. 'This way!' She dragged me through a doorway and into a large room with a high ceiling. It appeared to be the room in which the sound system was situated, as the music was alot clearer and there was a crowd of girls and a few guys dancing in a clump. There were sofas with people sprawled all over them and a huge table stood against the wall, absolutely covered in nothing but drinks. Alcohol, by the looks of it. I spotted Todd first, over by that very table. Standing next to him was Nick. I turned and looked at Michelle, who was jumping up and down, waving to someone over on the other side of the room. She went to grab my wrist and pull me along, but I refused to be moved. 'Are you coming?' she shouted. 'Becky is over there!' 'I'm gonna go see my friends!' I told her. 'I'll catch you up later!' 'Okay, if you're sure!' Michelle grinned, letting go of my wrist and rushing off to find Becky. I stood for a moment, watching as Todd helped himself to a drink, and passed one to Nick. I wasn't sure what I'd say to them, but decided I'd just waltz over and say hello. Gathering up all of the confidence I could find, I went over to Nick and Todd, and tapped Nick's shoulder.

{name:Todd#|#picture:3}As I poured some vodka into a plastic red cup, I passed it to Nick and he instantly chugged it. I didn't bother getting me any, as I was going to have to be the designated driver of the night. I saw a gorgeous girl walk up to Nick, and tap him on the shoulder. He took the next cup from me, and turned around, smirking. The girl had on some black pumps, extremely tight black skinny jeans, and a loose pink and silver glitttery tank top that sheer and almost see thru. Her Long blonder hair was pulled back into a loose clip and her bangs pinned up high. She looked stunning, and I had to cover my mouth and look down at the hard wood floor to make sure my jaw didn't drop.
"Hi Nick," Ollie yelled sweetly over the loud rap music, and he smirked, wrapping his arm around her. "And what are you doing here darrrrlin'?" He slurred, leaning his forehead onto hers, his red cup in his hand. I let my hand cover my face, and sighed. Nick always got hammered, and didn't know how to contain himself when he did. "Nick?" Ollie yelled over the loud music. She seemed so confused, her expression priceless. She obviously didn't know how Nick operated at parties. All of a sudden, I heard someone yell that there was going to be a keg chugging contest, and I slapped my hand to my face again as I saw Nick ditch Ollie, and run the other way towards all the beer. Ollie's shoulders sunk, and I made my way to her. I felt horrible, Ollie looked like she could cry. I tapped her shoulder, and gave her a soft smile. "Wanna get some fresh air?" I asked, as I offered her my hand.

{name:Ollie#|#picture:0}I nodded when Todd asked if I wanted to get some fresh air. Parties weren't exactly my thing, but I'd still made the effort to get dressed up, show my face and hopefully meet some nice people. Nick had really confused me, but I decided to try and not let it get to me. I followed Todd until we got outside, then walked beside him as we walked around the side of the house and into the massive back yard. There were kids all over the place, some falling over, some dancing, some making out and some laying on the grass, looking like they'd dropped dead. Todd seemed to know his way around, so I wondered if this Becky was a friend of his. He lead me down a little path, towards a little gazebo with two benches. There was a tree next to it, with a swing hanging from a low branch. Todd sat down, but I stayed standing. I put my clutch bag down on the other bench, and stood facing the path we'd just walked along. The music was pretty quiet from the gazebo, the crickets louder than the teenagers. A few fireflies hovered about and, if I'm completely honest, I couldn't help but feel slightly... Shy? 'Nicks drunk, isn't he?' I sighed, breaking the ''peaceful'' silence. 'Yeah,' Todd said from behind me. 'He always drinks at parties.' I nodded my head slightly, and turned to face Todd, resting against the gazebo's railings. 'Do you not drink then?' I asked. 'No,' Todd said, somewhat proudly. 'Me neither,' I smiled. 'I find it disgusting.' Todd was smiling. He seemed to be watching me closely, and I suddenly wondered if I looked alright, or too dressy. He was wearing a navy blue polo shirt and looked pretty casual, but dressed up at the same time. I averted my eyes, realising that I'd been staring at him. 'How come you're here then?' he asked. I looked at him again, and smiled sadly. 'I came with a girl called Michelle,' I told him. 'She lives across the road from me. She just sort of... told me to come along, so I did.' I shrugged, and looked down at my feet. I then pushed myself away from the wooden railings, and went and perched on the edge of the bench that Todd was sitting on. He slouched down a bit then, turning to face me and laying his arm across the back of the bench. 'Michelle Farrow?' he asked. I shrugged again. 'She's never mentioned her last name. She goes by the name Shell though, I think.' 'Yeah, that's Michelle Farrow,' Todd said. I nodded, not knowing what else to say.

{name:Todd#|#picture:3}"We dated for a while..." I informed her, and relaxed on the bench, letting my arms rest behind the backrest. Ollie seemed nervous and uneasy, like she didn't want to be near me. I smiled softly at her, as she looked around the yard. As she did so, I couldn't help but stare at her, wanting to be closer to her. "So... I heard about you and Nick," I told her, and gave her another soft smile. "You did?" She squeaked, smiling a little, but blushing at the same time. "Yeah, he told me all about the movie and stuff," I said some-what shyly as I moved a little closer to her. She looked down at her lap, and I smiled as I stared at her. I couldn't help take my eyes off of her, she was that amazing looking. "How did you know your way so well?" Ollie asked and I shrugged. "Becky throws a lot of parties... she has a thing for getting drunk." I told her, and chuckled. "I don't know what's so great about beer, it smells and can get you in trouble. If I ever drink, it's a small amount of champagne on New Year's," I told her, as I noticed Ollie shift closer to me. "Do you like San Fransisco so far?" I asked as I started up a less awkward conversation. "I guess.... I mean, it's fine and what not." She mumbled and I smiled. "Well, I really want to show you around, if you don't mind. We can go to the Castro and drive down the Crookedest Street in the World, and go to the Warf, and the Giants game..." I rolled off some of my favorite attractions in the city.

{name:Ollie#|#picture:0}I laughed then, the uneasy feeling beginning to ebb gently away. 'Have you ever considered working as a tour guide?' I joked. Todd laughed quietly, seeming a little embarrassed. 'No,' I said softly. 'I'd like to be shown around.' 'Great!' Todd said, perking up again. And then he started telling me about some more places, but I wasn't really listening. I was too busy concentrating on the fact that he was ever so close to me. 'Where are you from then?' Todd asked, finishing what he'd been saying. 'I never got the chance to ask you.' 'New York,' I told him, looking down at my lap and then back up at him. 'I've lived all over the place though, because of my dad's job. We're always moving, going somewhere new...' Todd stared at me. '...so I don't know how long I'll be here,' I finished quietly. 'What so... it's not a permanent thing?' Todd asked, dissapointment present in his voice. I smiled slightly, and met his gaze. 'My parents think we'll be here for a year or so.' Todd nodded slightly, and we were quiet for a while. Todd was almost leaning into me, but I didn't draw back, or get up and move away from him. He wasn't looking at me anymore, for he was looking awkwardly round the garden, as though he was trying to think of something to say. 'Is Jess your girlfriend?' I suddenly blurted. Todd fixed his eyes on me, his expression blank, but after a few moments, he shook his head. 'Oh,' I mumbled, feeling confused. 'But...' 'We're just...' 'Dating?' I asked. He shook his head. 'What then?' 'It's hard to explain...' 'You like her though?' Todd was silent. He pulled away from me and rested his elbows on his thighs, and buried his face in his hands. 'She seems to like you too,' I pointed out. Todd sighed, and rubbed his face with his hands, as though he were tired or stressed. He then looked across at me and sighed again. 'It's kinda complicated,' he said quietly. 'No, no,' I said quickly. 'I get it. You like her, and she likes you. But you guys don't want to tell one another, so you just flirt endlessly.' When Todd failed to say anything, or tell me I was wrong, I smiled. Somewhat sadly, if I'm completely honest. 'I knew this guy when I was in New York,' I said. 'We were like you and Jess. I liked him, and he liked me, but neither of us ever said it. We did get together after a while, but we broke up about two weeks later because he said that I was...' I trailed off quickly, and stood up. Knowing I'd probably said too much, I grabbed my bag from the other bench. 'Ollie... what did he say?' Todd asked. 'Nothing,' I said breathlessly. 'It doesn't matter.' 'But... Ollie! Where are you going?' I was down the steps now, and had started to make my way back along the path. Todd followed me, placing himself in front of me, causing me to stop. 'Todd, don't,' I mumbled, unable to look him in the eye. I'd begun to lose my patience, but wasn't quite sure why. 'Why have you gone all... cold on me?' Todd asked. 'I haven't,' I said, trying to force a laugh, but it sounded just as uneasy as I felt. I inwardly cursed myself, and tried to brush past Todd. But he grabbed my arm, and stopped me from going anywhere. 'Ollie...' 'I'm going home,' I said firmly. 'Then let me give you a ride.' I shook my head. 'That's okay, I'll walk.' 'No you won't, I won't let you.' I sighed, and gently pulled my arm away from him. He let me go, and stood watching me as I dug my phone out of my bag to check the time. 'I'll get my mom to pick me up,' I mumbled. 'Are you sure?' Todd asked. 'I can easily take you home, I've got nothing else to do.' 'Thanks but... I'm fine, my mom will come fetch me.' 'Alright,' Todd mumbled, hanging his head. I began to walk away, but after about five steps, Todd called me back. 'I'll walk you to the front door,' he told me, and together, the two of us walked back down the path in silence.
It was warm inside the car. My mom was staring at me, her pale blue eyes boring into me. 'How come you wanted me to pick you up?' she asked. 'Headache,' I said, feeling that it was the best answer. My mom pulled a sympathetic oh dear face, saying that I was to get into bed when we got home, and she'd make me a mug of hot chocolate. Todd was standing on the sidewalk, hands shoved deep into his pockets. He was looking at me. 'Who's that guy?' my mom asked, glancing at him. 'Is it Nick?' I shook my head. 'Then who...' 'Just go mom,' I mumbled, putting on my seatbelt. My mom didn't say anything else, or ask anymore questions. She just did as I said, and drove me home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As soon as we got home, I got changed into my favourite silk pajamas and climbed into bed. I didn't even have a headache, but there was nothing else for me to do. My mom brought me the promised mug of hot chocolate and she sat on my bed for a while, wanting to talk about the party. I insisted that it was boring as hell, and that Nick hadn't been there, so there hadn't been anyone for me to talk to. My mom looked guilty, and I realised it probably seemed like I was getting at her for Dad moving us to California. I hugged my mom then, and she went away, telling me to get some sleep. I sighed, and leaned back against my pillows. I reached for my bag, which I'd placed on my beside table, and pulled out my phone. It was almost 11:15pm. Reaching up, I removed the clasp from my hair and it fell in loose curls around my shoulders, it's new length still unfamiliar to me. I sat for a moment, cross legged on my bed, sipping the hot chocolate. After about three minutes, my phone began to ring. I put down the mug and picked up my phone, somewhat unable to believe who it was that was calling. Mustering up as much confidence as I could, I pressed the answer button. 'Hello?' 'Hey,' came Todd's voice from the other end. 'I just thought I'd call to check you got home safely.' I couldn't help but smile at that.
We talked for a while, Todd and I. He told me more about the places he wanted to show me, and we arranged for him to come pick me up on Saturday, so that we could start the tour, as he'd put it. We then talked about the party, and Todd said he was at Nick's place, sitting in the garden while Nick laid on the sofa in the living room, grumbling about how he felt sick. Todd didn't mention Jess, nor did he ask me what I'd gone to say when we'd been at the gazebo. Finally we said goodnight and I fell asleep with a smile on my face, but I wouldn't have been able to tell you why, even if I'd tried.
{name:Todd#|#picture:3} ----------------- 'Come on Todd, dance with me!' said a familiar voice, as I saw myself in a garden maze, running around frantically. The voice kept calling my name, in a sweet and innocent tone. My legs carried me through the maze, something tapped my shoulder. I turned around, and there, standing in the middle of the maze, was a girl. She was shorter than me, and had a dark, shiny blue dress on that matched the ribbon in her hair. 'Come on Todd, dance with me,' she told me, and I had to shake my head. It was Jess, and she looked so stunning. I did as I was told, and took her in my arms, spinning her around on the tip of her toes. As we went in for the dip, I found my lips pressed to hers, holding her tiny body, so she wouldn't fall to the ground. My eyes were closed, taking in the sweet scent of her frasa perfume. As I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see a blonde angel now in my arms, and Jess no where near us. She had on a short, flowy white dress that came above her knees, and she was wearing matching white high heels. I held her blonde, curly hair as I pulled away, not believing that Jess had turned into Ollie. 'Ollie?' I questioned, not sure of what to say, what to do. All of a sudden, I heard a familiar noise, the sound of a vibration against wood. As a beam of bright, hot sunlight came in through the glass window pain, I quickly jumped up, feeling uncomfortable about where I was. I was standing in the middle of a living room, brown just surrounding me. I wasn't sure where I was, until I noticed a picture frame on a near by coffee table. I studied it for a few seconds, looking at the women, man, and boy in the picture. I was at Nick's house, and I had stayed the night. I assumed Nick had gone upstairs, and I sighed, rubbing my eyes. I couldn't get the image of Ollie out of my head from my dream, it was like she was permanently glued into my brain. I quickly made sure I had all my stuff, and found a sticky-note in Nick's kitchen. I picked it up, and wrote a brief message on it, before sticking it to the stainless steel refrigerator. 'Stop getting drunk all the time, otherwise you're gonna scare all your new relationships away' - ToddI then quickly hurried out of Nick's house, not sure what my parent's were going to think when I turned up this morning. ---------- As I arrived home, I noticed a tall, platinum blonde lady in a track suit, bending over by her roses in my yard. After I parked my LandRover in the driveway, I tried to make my way quietly up the path, but I was spotted. "Todd Zachary Foley! Where have you been?!" She scolded and I sighed, rubbing my eyes. "Mom, Nick had some problems... he got drunk again," I told her honestly, and she gave me a saddened expression. "Again? That poor boy, what is he ever going to do?" She said, and I shrugged, as I started walking towards our front door. "Todd?" She asked in a sweet voice, and I turned around, smiling softly. "You didn't get drunk, did you?" She asked, almost a little worriedly. I shook my head, and gave her a soft smile. "I was the designated driver," I told her, and she gave me a sympathetic smile. I then walked into my house, only to be greeted by Champ who was whining out of excitement. I then heard a "TODDD," come from down the hall. I looked towards the entrance, and got on my knee as my little brother Tommy ran into my arms. "You didn't read me a bedtime story last night!" He cried, giving me a pouty face. "I promise, I'll read you one tonight, okay bud?" I told him, and he smiled, as I let him go to run around the house with Champ. I then hurried up the three flights of stairs to my room, and shut the door behind me. As I leaned against my door, I threw my hat on my bed, and glanced over at my alarm clock. It flashed 10:00 am, and I sighed, only knowing I had an hour. I quickly walked into my bathroom, and took a ten minute shower. As I did so, I tried to figure out my dream that I had had earlier. It made no sense to me what so ever, and I sighed, not knowing what to do. As I shut the water off, I wrapped a towel around my waist, and walked into my room. All of a sudden I heard a slight gasp, and I looked up. I felt my face turn as red as a ripe tomato, and I wasn't sure what to do. "Jess?" I heard my voice crack, and I couldn't help but blush more. I coughed, trying to clear my voice, but it was no use. "What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to hide the embarrassment in my voice.
{name:Jess#|#picture:2}'Oh!' I gasped, feeling as embarrassed as Todd looked, 'I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were in the shower, I came to the door and your mum said I could come straight up..' 'What are you doing here?' Todd repeated, interupting my rambling. He suddenly look impatient, like he had no time for me to be hanging around in his room. 'I just came to see you,' I mumbled, looking down at the floor, 'I hadn't seen you for a while. Are you going somewhere?' Todd looked even more embarrassed now. 'Yes,' He answered after a few seconds silence, 'I'm going to meet a friend from out of town. Show them around, you know?' I suddenly perked up, hopeing Todd would want me there. Todd simply said nothing and continued looking around his room nervously. 'Oh.' I said, my voice small with disappointment.
{name:Todd#|#picture:3}I felt so uncomfortable, that I didn't want to move, embarrassed by the fact that Jess had been staring. I grabbed my towel so it wouldn't slip off, and walked towards my dresser. I grabbed a pair of plaid blue boxers, and a pair of jeans. After I did so, I walked into my walk-in closet and grabbed a grey baseball style shirt. "Erm, I'm gonna change...." I said awkwardly as I shut my closet door. I quickly changed, and reappeared only moments later, towel in hand. I walked to my bathroom and hung it up carefully, not sure what to say to Jess. As I turned around, I saw her facial expression, and I knew she was dissapointed. "Erm, Jess?" I asked, and she looked up, giving me a soft smile. I brushed my bangs out of my face, and sighed. I walked quickly over to my bed, and sat down next to Jess. I picked up my hat, and held it in my hands, as I gazed into Jess's eyes. She seemed sad, and that was one thing I couldn't take when I was with a girl. I would do anything to make someone happy. I wasn't sure what to say, so I leaned in close to Jess, and pressed my soft lips to her forehead. It felt like magic when I did so, like fireworks were going off in my stomach. When I pulled away, I found her blushing, and I was too. "I have to babysit tonight.... do you want to come over then? Maybe around ten?" I asked, as I took one of her hands in my own. "Oh, um, sure," she said, smiling a little. I smiled back, as I got up, pulling her with me. I put my hat on, and sighed, making sure I had my keys and wallet. "Erm, I really have to go," I told her, as I took her down the stairs, not sure how to ask her to polietly leave. "You can stay if you want.... but I don't see any reason why you would want to," I laughed, as I lead her to my front door. We walked out, hand and hand, our fingers locked. I heard my mom sigh sweetly from behind us, and I only blushed. "No, it's fine, I'll just see you tonight," she told me, as she stood on her tip toes to kiss my cheek. I blushed even more as she started walking down my drive and to her car. After she got in, she waved to me, and sped down the busy street. "What are you doing later?" My mom piped from behind me, and I smirked. "Were just hanging out, um.... since your going out, I'm babysitting Tommy and stuff, and I'd like some company," I told her, blushing. "Well, just don't keep her too late." My mother chirped before walking inside my house. I glanced at my clock. Oh no! I only had ten minutes to get to Ollie's house! I quickly ran down my drive, and hopped in my car, as I spead off towards Ollie's house.
{name:Ollie#|#picture:0}Standing on my tip-toes, I glanced at myself in the hallway mirror and smudged some lipbalm onto my lips. I put the lid back on the tin, tucked it into my pocket and stood for a moment, gazing at my reflection. Todd would be here any minute. I ran my fingers through my hair, knowing that it looked fine, but still feeling like there was something wrong with it. I was always unsure since I'd had it cut. 'How come you're going out on a date with Todd?' Lia asked, suddenly appearing in the kitchen doorway. She was leaning against the frame, her arms folded and eyebrows raised. 'It's not a date,' I said. 'He's showing me around.' 'So why are you making such an effort to look nice?' Lia snapped. I went to object, but realised that I had actually made an effort to look nice. But there wasn't anything wrong with that, right? 'See,' Lia said, walking towards me. 'You like him, don't you?' 'No,' I said bluntly. 'Yes you do.' 'You like Todd,' I huffed, glaring at her. That shut her up. There was a light knock at the door then, and Lia jumped. 'That'll be him,' I told her. 'Tell mom where I've gone out, kay?' 'Fine,' Lia snapped, but she didn't go away. She stood there as I opened the door, then came and stood beside me to greet Todd. 'Is that your car?' she asked him, before he could get a word in edgeways. 'Um... yeah,' he muttered, turning to look at his Landrover. 'Cool,' Lia said, folding her arms again, but this time it was in a whole different manner. 'How long have you been driving then?' I threw Todd a look that hopefully told him not to answer. Lia shot daggers at me, looking like she wanted to kill me. Sighing, I stepped out onto the front step and stood beside Todd, turning back to face Lia. She was pretty, old for her age and wasn't lacking in female hormones, that was for sure. She didn't look much like me, but she did have long blonde hair and the same face shape as me. People often asked if we were twins which, obviously, angered me, but please Lia because she took that as an ''I can act the same age as Ollie'' signal. It also made her think she could get older guys. 'Where are you guys going anyways?' she asked. 'I'm just gonna show Ollie around,' Todd muttered, shifting his weight from foot to foot. 'Can I come?' 'No, you have to watch Odie,' I hissed. Lia rolled her eyes, looked Todd up and down, muttered goodbye and slammed the door. I sighed. 'Don't mind her,' I said. 'She's got an attitude problem.'
{name:Todd#|#picture:3}I couldn't help but smirk, as I turned around. I glanced back up at the door, and then at Ollie. She looked angelic in her floral print top with satin green bow, matching heels, dark blue skinny jeans, blue purse, and big sunglasses. Her hair was perfect, like every other time I had seen it, and she had a cute, shy smile on her face. I gave her my hand, and she hesitated for a moment. I saw a glimpse of uncertainty on her face, and she seemed to be fighting with herself. About two seconds later, she took my hand and I lead her to my car. I opened the passenger door for her, and she hopped in, quickly buckling her seatbelt. I ran around the back of the car, and hopped in on the other side, buckling mine too. I turned down the alternative music I was blasting before hand so I could talk to Ollie. "You haven't eaten yet, right?" I asked, and she shook her head. "Good, because our first stop on Todd's Tour Service of San Fransisco would be to the Boudin Bread Factory for a quick tour and amazing lunch.
When we arrived to the crowded street where the Bread Factory was held, I made a quick right and found a parking garage. I paid the $20 dollar admission to keep my 'baby' there, and we both hopped out. I took Ollie's hand once more, and led her though the crowded streets of San Fransisco. After we waked a block, we approached the huge factory, and entered through the swinging doors. I took in the scent of fresh, warm bread, and smiled. "I love that smell, it reminds me of San Fransisco," I laughed, as I lead her to the counter that was in the middle of a large room. To the right of us was the factory, and to the left was the giftshop/bread shop, up the stairs was the restaurant, and a few yards in front of us was a place to sit and enjoy the bay. I told the lady working at the counter that we wanted a factory tour. She smiled politely, and rung up the amount for the tickets. As they were $20 dollars all together, Ollie offered to pay, but I shook my head. "No way," I smirked, as I handed the lady a $20 dollar bill. She took it and gave us our tickets. We made our way to the right, and took the walking tour. I pointed out all the special things the workers were making, and Ollie ooed and ahhhed. As we finished, we made our way up the large oak banister, to the more fancy part of the building. We walked up to the podium, and asked the hostess for a table for two with the best view. She did as I asked, and lead Ollie and I over to a corner table with a grand view of the bay. I pulled Ollie's seat out for her, and smiled, as I took my own. A waiter came and brought us sparkling water, and fresh, warm french bread. I said a quick thank you as he left to wait on someone else. "So, what do you think of the view?" I asked, smiling widely at Ollie.
{name:Ollie#|#picture:0}'It's beautiful,' I smiled, looking out at the bay. I hadn't ever seen anything quite like it in person, and couldn't help but feel slightly overwhelmed. The bread tasted just as good as it looked and smelled, and I soon found that a permanent smile had fixed itself upon my face. 'Do you come here alot?' I asked, finishing off the bread and taking a sip of water. 'I used to come here alot with my parents,' he told me. 'I sometimes come to see if anything has changed though.' I wasn't sure how to reply, so just kept smiling and gazing out at the bay. 'Can you get down there?' I asked after a while. 'Probably,' Todd said. 'But there's better places that I could show you.' I giggled, and put down my glass of water.
